I'm in love with my Floral Scanographs. So much so that I offer them to you for home or office wall decor.

Though many of my original photographic and solar images are in the hands of private collectors, this is the first time I've made my original scanographs available for purchase online at FinerWorks.com or if you live in the Nashville, Donelson, Hermitage, Lebanon or Mt. Juliet areas you can purchase direct through S & S Framing, located in Donelson, Tennessee. See bottom of page for S & S Framing details.

Archival square canvas prints are available from sizes 12 x 12 inches up to 24 x 24 inches. Horizontal images are available at 20 x 30 inches or 18 x 24 inches.

A Bit About the Process:

Scanographs or Scanography are cameraless images of objects you place on your flatbed scanner and scan directly into your computer. This is where Victorian Illustration collides with Photographic Vision.

Experimentation has always been key when it comes to my photography and digital equipment has merely enhanced my curiousity to explore new and alternative avenues.

What Do They Look Like up Close:

Exquisite detail has been done quite successfully by other photographers.

My floral images express a romantic softness combined with a painterly effect that resembles a watercolor painting. Most often I handcolor my color scans and also my black and white scans. There is detail only where needed, otherwise each floral has a wonderful fluid feel to it.

My working process involves many, many layers in Photoshop to arrive at my vision for each completed piece of work. Each work can take upwards of two weeks to complete, sometimes more. Proof prints are completed before the final print is signed off on.
