Each winter my husband and I spend two months in Bradenton, Florida. I've been fascinated by the Pelicans and other birds in the area.

I decided to concentrate solely on the White Pelican this past winter. They come to Bradenton for a very short time and are located in Cortez, Florida. There had to be at least 75 White Pelicans there that day or maybe more.

There was such a frenzy of pelicans the only way I could capture the feeling of the moment was to shoot endlessly. I then decided to merge 3 different frames together creating the image you see here.
