Fall came late to middle Tennessee this year, but when it finally came, the brilliance of the area trees was outstanding.

With little rain this past year, I was surprised to see such fantastic color.

The latest picture to my Fall Illusions series is the 2nd from the left title "Harlequin".

I created my pictures using a combination of digital photography and digital painting. The digital painting is in specific areas such as a building, tufts of grass and fencing. I also painting the trunks of the trees to be a more graphic element against the brilliance of the leaves. The trunks of the trees were painted almost completely black.

By photographing the trees from my car, a slight blur to the leaves of the trees gives the viewer a feeling of blowing in the wind.
